About Us
Altitude is building the world's leading platform dedicated to elevating clinician performance. We partner with nurse practitioners and healthcare organizations to transform investments in clinician skills into better patient care and financial outcomes. We focus first on NPs because they are the fastest-growing healthcare provider group and practice independently in more than 25 states.
Why now? Recent breakthroughs in AI, advances in performance coaching, and the growing physician shortage make investing in clinicians like nurse practitioners essential for improving American healthcare.
You will be joining a deeply experienced team with decades of operating experience in care delivery and healthcare technology. The team is led by Prabhjot Singh, MD, PhD (sold CHW cares to Oak Street Health, senior advisor and co-chair AI task force at Peterson Health Technology Institute) and Abhishek Gupta (ex-Oak St NY market leader, former Zus and MVP Ventures) with Margaret McKenna (former CTO Devoted Health) as board member and tech advisor.
We are supported by top-tier VCs in healthcare and AI, including Lerer Hippeau, AlleyCorp, Tau Ventures, Chrysalis, MVP Ventures and Sequel, along with notable angels such as Aaron Patzer (Co-founder Vital.io, founder of Mint.com), Ankit Jain (CEO Infinitus, founder of Gradient Ventures), Jordan Schlain (Founder of Private Medical, America's top concierge medicine service), Kavita Patel (Venture Partner at NEA and former Obama senior policy advisor), Ashwin Vasan (former NYC Health Commissioner), Duncan Greenburg (former SVP Product at Oscar Health), Prabhdeep Singh (former Chief Growth Officer at Clover Health), and Saharsh Patel (CEO Noble, former COO Canvas Medical).
The Role
We’re seeking a Head of Product to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Altitude’s clinician-facing products—starting from 0 to 1. This role is ideal for a product leader who is obsessed with user experience, fluent in AI-native product thinking, and energized by working directly with clinicians, sales, and engineering to build products that meaningfully change practice.
You will own the clinician experience across our platform: from day-to-day workflows to deeply personalized, AI-driven support. You’ll work closely with customers, our clinical leadership, sales, and engineering to define what we build, why we build it, and how it ships. You’ll pair rigorous product discovery with fast, pragmatic execution.
This is Altitude’s first dedicated product leadership role, with the opportunity to define our product culture and build the foundation of our product organization over time. Reporting to the founding team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Altitude’s roadmap, go-to-market, and long-term trajectory.
What You'll Do
Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for clinician-facing experiences, from initial concept through launch and iteration.
Design and deliver AI-first workflows that make clinicians meaningfully better at their jobs—not just more efficient—using LLMs and other AI capabilities in safe, reliable ways.
Lead deep user research with nurse practitioners and clinical leaders—shadow workflows, run interviews, and synthesize insights into clear product direction.
Partner tightly with engineering and design to scope, prioritize, and ship high-quality features on rapid cycles; own tradeoffs between speed, scope, and technical complexity.
Collaborate with sales and client partnerships to design product experiences that work in real-world implementations and support commercial success
Define and track product success metrics (adoption, engagement, impact on performance and outcomes) and turn these into a continuous improvement loop.
Shape the user experience end-to-end: information architecture, interaction patterns, and the “feel” of the Altitude experience - off screen and within product - for clinicians under time pressure.
Establish product discovery and delivery rituals (e.g., problem framing, decision docs, release notes, experiment logs) appropriate for an early-stage team.
Build the long-term product organization: help define future product/design roles, hiring profiles, and culture as the company scales.
What We're Looking For
7–10+ years of product management experience, including meaningful time as a product lead/manager owning core product areas; startup experience strongly preferred.
Proven track record of taking 0 to 1 products from idea to launch and through multiple iterations, ideally in B2B SaaS or workflow tools.
Experience with consumer facing product
Experience building AI-powered or data-driven products (LLMs, decision support, automation, or personalization), with intuition for what AI is and isn’t good at.
Deep empathy for end users and strong UX instincts—comfortable working with designers or playing a hands-on product/design role yourself.
Strong collaborator with engineering—able to engage on technical tradeoffs, shape architectures with constraints in mind, and maintain a high bar for quality.
Strong collaborator with design—able to engage of service and product user experience design and translate that into the larger product vision and implementation.
Experience working closely with sales or client-facing teams to shape product based on real-world implementation, objections, and buyer dynamics.
Comfort with ambiguity and incomplete information—bias toward action, rapid experimentation, and learning through shipping.
Data- and outcomes-oriented: able to define metrics, instrument features, and use both qualitative and quantitative signals to guide decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you can simplify complex ideas for clinicians, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Required: Experience in healthcare delivery, clinician-facing tools, EHR/clinical systems, or performance/education products for clinicians.
Bonus: Prior startup or founding experience, or demonstrated “owner’s mindset” in a high-ownership environment.
