About Kalder
We empower brands of all sizes to create Amex-like partner rewards programs that reward and monetize their top customers. Until now, only airlines, banks, and retailers had this power—we’re making it accessible to everyone.
The Role
Kalder is hiring a Senior Front-End Engineer to architect, design, and influence key engineering decisions for our rewards platform. You’ll own the front-end roadmap, define guardrails and best practices, and turn complex financial workflows into fast, elegant, and accessible experiences across web and mobile.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
Architect & Design: Define component libraries, set performance budgets, enforce testing standards.
Ship End-to-End: Collaborate with product + backend to design and launch features.
Mentor & Lead: Guide teammates, write docs and diagrams, and make architectural tradeoffs explicit.
Push Standards: Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and consistency across the product.
What We Value
We care deeply about fundamentals, not just frameworks. You’re fluent in:
Semantic HTML, modern CSS, and Typescript mastery
State management, async data flows, security, and observability
React and Next.js, while being pragmatic about frameworks (Tailwind, RadixUI)
Building performant, elegant UIs that scale
What You Bring
6+ years of frontend development experience
Proven expertise with React + Next.js (mobile + web)
Strong foundation in component architecture and UI systems
Experience working on complex, data-heavy, high-performance apps
Startup-ready: you thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
Bonus Points
Experience in fintech or rewards/loyalty products
Contributions to open-source libraries or developer tooling
A degree in Computer Science—or the equivalent hard-earned knowledge
Core Competencies
Manages Complexity – simplifies ambiguity into clear, actionable paths
Situational Adaptability – flexes approach and demeanor to context
Action-Oriented – brings urgency, energy, and ownership to challenges
🔥 This is a chance to shape Kalder’s front-end foundation and engineering culture while building the first rewards network of its kind.
Compensation Range: $150K - $250K
