We’re Scan.com, the digital health scale-up making diagnostics accessible, fast, and transparent. Our technology speeds up diagnoses for timely treatments, improving healthcare outcomes for hundreds of patients each day.
We’re doing diagnostics differently, with a portfolio of brands tailored to both patients and providers, all backed by our world-class customer operations team. Our B2C marketplace simplifies booking a scan, making it as straightforward for patients as booking a hotel. Our B2B platforms provide live scheduling at the point of care and harness AI to ease workflows for physicians, attorneys, and providers.
We’re looking for a Front-End Engineer at an exciting time. We’ve successfully launched multiple platforms and products, raised over $70m in VC funding, reached profitability, and have a growth trajectory of over 100% YoY.
Applicants must be based in the US and have the right to work there.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Architect and implement features that drive direct customer value end-to-end in our frontend environments.
Follow and adopt the latest techniques in web development.
Lead performance optimization initiatives, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with product, sales, and operations teams to respond to customer and prospect feedback.
Proactively drive projects from conception to completion, contributing significantly to our company's growth and success.
THE TOP 5 THINGS WE WANT YOU TO ACHIEVE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR ARE
Deliver Robust Features: Successfully design, develop, and launch at least four key features or tools that significantly enhance both performance and user experience, demonstrating your ability to apply your skillset in a practical, impactful way.
Improve System Reliability: Proactively identify and resolve bugs, bottlenecks, and technical debt to enhance the stability and robustness of our applications, ensuring a reliable experience for both internal teams and external users.
Enhance Collaboration: Establish strong working relationships with other engineers, ensuring seamless integration and communication between backend and frontend functionalities, which results in at least two successful product launches.
Mentorship and Development: Actively participate in code reviews and mentoring sessions, helping to upskill junior engineers within the team. Aim to be recognized as a go-to resource for technical guidance and support.
Embed Company Values: Demonstrate a strong alignment with the company's culture and values through active participation in team-building activities and initiatives, contributing to a positive and collaborative workplace atmosphere.
WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE:

Experience implementing design-perfect components by accurately translating Figma prototypes into clean, maintainable, and responsive code that faithfully matches the original design specifications.
Skilled with frontend frameworks such as React, Stimulus, and Tailwind CSS.
Over 7 years of full-stack development experience, with a proven track record of building and maintaining scalable web applications.

Prior experience in a startup or health-tech is a plus.
HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU:
We keep our interview process short and sweet, and we’re a nimble team that can progress quickly. Here are the stages you can expect, but we might switch up the order of each step depending on team availability:
Introductory call/interview with our Senior Talent Partner. The call is via telephone and will last around 30 minutes.
If there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to a 60-minute video call with the CTO. This more structured interview will deep-dive into the role and technical needs.
All of our roles will have a small assessment stage. This might be in person, a take-home assessment, or further video calls. Length varies, but we’re mindful of your time and keep it as simple as possible.
