We’re Scan.com, the digital health scale-up making diagnostics accessible, fast, and transparent. Our technology speeds up diagnoses for timely treatments, improving healthcare outcomes for hundreds of patients each day.

We’re doing diagnostics differently, with a portfolio of brands tailored to both patients and providers, all backed by our world-class customer operations team. Our B2C marketplace simplifies booking a scan, making it as straightforward for patients as booking a hotel. Our B2B platforms provide live scheduling at the point of care and harness AI to ease workflows for physicians, attorneys, and providers.

We’re looking for a Paralegal at an exciting time - we’ve successfully launched multiple platforms and products, raised over $70m in VC funding, reached profitability, and have a growth trajectory of over 100% YoY.

WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN:

You will join our growing legal and operations team in Atlanta, supporting Scan.com’s work across healthcare, commercial, and litigation matters. Reporting directly to our General Counsel, you’ll help bridge the gap between legal knowledge and commercial impact, ensuring our business decisions are sound, compliant, and pragmatic.

This is an exceptional chance to work directly with a seasoned GC, with deep experience across some of the largest US healthcare businesses.

As a scale-up business, you can expect your role to evolve as well. Here are some of the types of things you could be getting involved in:

  • Supporting litigation-related work streams, including preparing case materials, legal filings, and attorney coordination

  • Conducting high-quality legal research and summarizing findings for the legal and leadership teams

  • Reviewing, tracking, and managing legal matters, contracts, leveraging AI tools, and matter management and contract management systems to drive efficiency

  • Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in legal documentation and operational workflows

  • Working cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and finance teams to apply legal expertise to business problems

  • Driving process improvements in legal workflows to meet the pace and complexity of a high-growth healthcare business

THE TOP 5 THINGS WE WANT YOU TO ACHIEVE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR ARE:

  • Establish yourself as the go-to legal support for litigation-related matters and research

  • Implement effective use of legal AI, matter management, and contract management tools to streamline processes

  • Build trusted relationships across commercial and operations teams by delivering timely, business-oriented legal support

  • Create scalable systems for tracking legal documents and workflows that minimize risk and maximize efficiency

  • Demonstrate consistent ability to turn legal insights into commercial impact, helping drive Scan.com’s growth trajectory

WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE:

You don't need to tick all the boxes to apply for this role. Whether it's your first or fifth role, we believe everyone can add value, learn, and grow. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value:

  • Proven track record of legal experience

  • You must be based in Atlanta and able to work closely with our in-market team, located in Sandy Springs

  • Litigation experience and strong legal research skills

  • A certificate from a national organization is highly recommended

  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations

  • Contracting experience

  • Proficiency with legal AI tools and contract management platforms

  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to accuracy and rigor

  • Ability to balance legal analysis with commercial judgment in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to work hard, adapt quickly, and grow as the company scales

  • Curious by nature, with a drive to deepen your understanding of healthcare regulation

  • Thrives in fast, candid feedback loops built on radical candor

HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU:

We keep our interview process short, and we’re a nimble team that can progress at a rapid pace. Here are the stages you can expect, but we might switch up the order of each step depending on team availability:

  1. Introductory call/interview with Devin, our Senior Talent Partner. The call will be made via telephone and is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.

  2. If there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to a 45-minute video call with the hiring manager. This is a more structured interview that will deep-dive into the role and technical needs.

  3. All of our roles will have a small assessment stage. This may be in-person, a take-home assessment, or additional video calls. The length varies, but we’re mindful of your time and strive to keep it as simple as possible.

  4. Meet the founders and/or other team members. Again, the length varies depending on the number of people involved and whether the meeting is in person or via video call.

  5. Offer!

BENEFITS:

We go beyond the basics with our benefits package. Here’s what you can expect from us:

  • Salary range of $60,000 - $80,000

  • 401k

  • Healthcare, Vision, and Dental

  • All the equipment needed for you to do your role effectively

  • Flexible working (3 days in office, 2 remote)

  • Personal Development budgets

  • 18 days PTO plus public holidays

  • 10 paid sick days

  • Inclusive policies designed by our team, for our team
