Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Business Strategy & Operations Lead to execute strategic initiatives related to Torch’s product and supplier offering. You will partner directly with our CEO, and an elite cross-functional team to deliver transformative solutions that solve the most important challenges facing our suppliers and customers. You will work closely across Product, Engineering, Operations and Sales. You will have the potential for rapid growth and leadership opportunities as we scale to thousands of practices across new markets.

New York, New York (in office Monday - Thursday, flexibility on Friday)
Responsibilities:
- Analyze Supplier Offering and Execute Improvements: Complete analyses related to pricing, coverage and shipping performance of suppliers and work closely with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders on driving improvements
- Negotiate and Manage Improvements with New and Existing Suppliers: Proactively identify opportunities with new suppliers to drive a better Torch experience as well as working with new suppliers on expanding and improving Torch’s offering
- Stakeholder Partnership: Interface closely with C-suite, engineering, product and sales teams to translate business needs into actionable strategic initiatives
- Supplier Partnership: Manage relationships with new and existing important strategic supplier partners. Use a data driven approach to advocate for and drive improvements in conversations with suppliers
- Metrics & Success: Define clear KPIs based on supplier and customer data then advocate for continuous improvement amongst suppliers and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- 5+ years of work experience, with a demonstrated track record of success at top tier tech startups, big tech or professional services firms
- History of experience in applying critical thinking and analytical skills to business and strategy problems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with comfort managing relationships and negotiations with external stakeholders
- High attention to detail and ability to not only simplify and improve complex systems but also scale change across the team
- Ability to structure and define requirements for ambiguous problems for yourself and more junior team members
- A “can do” attitude with a focus on customer empathy and service, recognizing that no job is too small to be important for our customers
- Deep skills and experience analyzing data to help root-cause problems, make decisions and set goals
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: $130,000 - $175,000
